1. Hilton Head Distillery
Hilton Head Distillery is the island’s number one spot for artisanally crafted rum and vodka. All of the distillery’s spirits are made from fresh molasses (sourced from Savannah, GA) according to age-old distillation techniques. The distillery prides itself on measuring, cutting, and blending each and every small batch of liquor by hand. Visitors to Hilton Head Distillery will find a great tasting room where they can sample flights of rum and vodka. Alternately, guests can enjoy the distillery’s spirits as delicious cocktails. Each tasting experience costs $15 per person and includes a souvenir shot glass that you can take home with you. If you book your tasting online, you can get $3 off by using the code VOYAGE. As of June 9, 2018, Hilton Head Distillery is not giving distillery tours due to ongoing renovations. In 2019, the distillery will unveil “The Bridge,” a private area where visitors can learn all about the distilling process.2. Island Winery
Anyone who enjoys a nice glass of red, white, or rose, will definitely want to schedule a trip to the Island Winery! This popular spot offers daily wine tastings for just $5 per person. If you end up purchasing a bottle of wine, your tasting fee is refunded! Guests who buy three or more bottles of wine can also help themselves to the winery’s complimentary cheese platter. Island Winery is owned and operated by Loren and Georgene Mortimer, college sweethearts who fell in love with wine (and each other) when attending school in the Finger Lakes Wine region of New York State. Georgene, who has a Ph.D. in Environmental Science, drew upon her scientific background to develop her winemaking process.Sangiovese 2016…An Island Winery classic on Hilton Head Island SC. ❤️ ? #thedailywinedown pic.twitter.com/z2VJ6EVG6n
