1. The Dunes Buggy

The Palmetto Dunes area has a Dunes Buggy, a seasonal van that will pick you up from your vacation rental. It runs to the Dunes Beach Club, Shelter Cove Harbor, and Shelter Cove Towne Center. Dunes Buggy will also take you to any of the beaches, golf clubs, or tennis courts throughout Palmetto Dunes. It is a first come, first serve service, and buses are sent on demand. 2. The Sea Pines Trolley

The Sea Pines Trolley is a free service that will pick you up from any of the trolley stations and take you where you want to go. The Blue Route Beach Trolley will stop at the Beach Club, Plantation Club, the shops at Harbour Town, and Racquet Club. The Green Route South Beach Trolley will take you to South Beach Marina Village, the shops at Harbour Town, and the shop at the Beach Club. The Yellow Route Beach Club will take from lot 8 at The Beach Club to the beach drop off. The Red Route runs from 4 to 10 pm and takes you to Harbour Town, Lawton Stables, the shop at The Beach Club, and the trolley station. 3. The Forest Beach Shuttle

If you’re staying in the Forest Beach area of Hilton Head Island, you have access to public transportation in Hilton Head! You can ride on the Forest Beach Shuttle. You can’t miss the open red bus. Riding the Forest Beach Shuttle is free. This shuttle can take you to any of these places: Coligny Plaza, Pope Avenue, North and South Forest Beach Avenues, and the Sea Crest Resort.

4. The Breeze

The Breeze is Hilton Head’s public trolley. They have recently updated their routes, schedule, and added stops to help you get around town! When you ride the Breeze, you have the option of paying $1 per ride, regardless of your destination, or you can get a Breeze Pass if you plan on using the trolley exclusively. Exact change is needed since the drivers cannot give you change. Children under 43 inches tall ride for free. The trolleys are green and gray, making it impossible for you to miss them. Services start at 1 pm every day and run until 10:30 pm. On Friday and Saturday, the trolley runs until 12:30 am. You have plenty of inexpensive and free modes of transportation in Hilton Head.
