Sea Pines Community Reminders
Sea Pines on Hilton Head Island is known for its natural beauty, peaceful surroundings, and family-friendly atmosphere. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or returning to your favorite vacation rental, we want your time in Sea Pines to be both relaxing and respectful to the community that makes this destination so special.
To ensure all guests enjoy the best of Sea Pines, we kindly ask that you take a moment to review a few important reminders before and during your stay. These community guidelines help protect the charm of this unique area while keeping it clean, safe, and enjoyable for residents, guests, and wildlife alike.
Each guideline is in place to support a welcoming environment for all. Staying in a Sea Pines vacation rental means you’re part of a shared experience—where peaceful mornings, bike rides under live oaks, and starry evenings are part of what makes Hilton Head so magical.

Towels, bathing suits, clothing, etc. may not be hung on railings/balconies or any other location where visible from adjoining properties, a golf course, the beach or the street.
Bicycles must be stored neatly, as far from the road as possible, and in a location that does not block walkways or create a safety hazard. Beach items, coolers, kayaks, etc., must be stored out of public view when not in use.


Bright exterior lighting may not be left on for extended periods, and/or after 10PM. In no case shall they shine into a neighbor's residence.
Short-term renters & their guests must park vehicles in the garage, carport or on the driveway of the rental property. Parking is not permitted on any landscaped surfaces included the front, back or side yards.


Trash cans & recycling bins shall be kept in service yards at all times. Curbside trash pickup is not provided in Sea Pines. Please keep garbage in trash cans to discourage wildlife from spreading trash.
Short term renters, renting in Sea Pines are not permitted to bring in motor-homes, travel trailers/RVs, boats, personal watercrafts, or jet-ski or ski-doos.


Motorized vehicles (including electric and pedal-assist bikes, scooters) are not permitted in Sea Pines. While using the leisure trails, be aware of vehicles. They are not required to stop while you are waiting to cross a roadway.
Dogs must be restrained by a leash or fencing at all times (except when the no leash policy is permitted on the beach) and not allowed to bark for any duration that would disturb others.


Do not feed or disturb wildlife. Feeding or harassing alligators is dangerous and illegal. Assume every body of water contains an alligator and stay at least 60 feet (4 car lengths) away from them.
Please be a courteous neighbor and be mindful of noise levels of people and pets. Town of Hilton Head noise ordinance: reduced levels 10 PM-7AM daily.
